About Us

Deepwater Yachts is a small design and boatbuilding business specialising in plate aluminium powercatamarans.  Deepwater Yachts been in operation since 2000 and is run by Craig Gilmore who has over 20 years experience in the boatbuilding industry worldwide.

Our range of designs are available with any option shown or can be custom designed to suit indivudual requirements.  We specialise in asymetrical hull design using some of the most advanced software available.

We believe plate boats need to be built strong for its application however do not need to be overkilled by weights that limit performance.   Many aluminium boats up to 12 meters long built these days are possibly up to 20% heavier than they need to be for their application.

At Deepwater Yachts we use all aspects of boatuilding theory and have taken a piece from all boatbuilding concepts and applied these theories and concepts to construct lighter and stronger aluminium boats.  Reduced weight reduces runnings costs.

We are currently developing a range of catamarans that are not currently available in Australia.  Our range will be available for purchase and is guaranteed not to dissapoint.
